I am constantly screen shotting instagram, have a billion windows open and constantly adding to the ever expanding list of wants/must haves! Above are some of my immediate wants before next week (lets hope!)

I have my head in the fashion cloud looking out for new pieces for my MBFWA wardrobe and I am, yet again, last minute shopping! I have been LUSTING over the gorgeous honeycomb and stripe printed silk crepe de chine cigarette pant and shift dress by E L L E R Y  (the whole collection is amaze.. trust me!) Now that officially E L L E R Y has been added to the MBFWA schedule next week, I am even more determined to get my hot little hands on these numbers!

I’ve had the Marni Clutch on my list for a while now; its oversized.. it has an amazing individual print – how could I go wrong?

Local label Cameo amazes me every few months with their quick turnaround collections and these pieces are high on my list! I have already made an order (please come this week!) so I might have to pop around to Birdcage boutique and snap up some more, yes?

Wittner has a sale on right now (15% off one pair and 20% off two) so those gorgeous leopard pumps need to be mine! Now I have a bit of an incentive, it’s becoming more attainable! Plus holographic Stella McCartney… die

I am seriously obsessed with Manning Cartell‘s A/W collection at the minute – i am dreaming in colours of cobalt and black! Need some sport luxe shorts!

Last but certainly not least is that gorgeous Watson X Watson vest dress.. ever since I saw it storm the runway last year I was determined to have it in my life… and again.. sales make it all happen! After all… I am still a student!

Blogger of the Moment: Columbine Smille

Columbine_Header_01

The absolutely beautiful Swedish blogger, model and stylist for Style by (Elin Kling’s magazine) Columbine Smille is not just WD’s blog of the moment but also one of my fashion muses!

Smille has the ability to effortlessly style her outfits with a mixture of designer pieces, high street fashion and vintage finds. Her laid-back, ‘model off duty’ style is gorgeous and truly inspirational.

It is clear that the foundation of an amazing outfit is the simple, classic pieces; essentials like boyfriend jeans, plain tees, chunky knits, coats, layering and gorgeous accessories!

“My Grandma has always had a strong impact on me. She’s the type of lady that walks around the house wearing leopard printed blouses, caftans and golden heels. I’m inspired by strong women who have the ability to transform their visions into reality and possess the sort of confidence that shines through and creates an aura around them”

I never leave my house without… “My watch, multiple bracelets and necklaces from Stephanie Radenac and Maria Nidotter. I can’t leave without accessories!!”

I love mixing bold prints and colours and playing with contrasts; the contrast is what makes the outfit interesting. Also, I’m all for layering, but in a feminine sort of way. Just because you don’t show that much skin doesn’t mean that it’s not sexy. For me that’s way more confident.”

For those of us who dream of fashion, there is no bigger dream than to attend the most prestigious shows during fashion week. From our many insights these days, though instagram, the internet, and various other media, we can visualise and passively experience what the fashion elite get to see first hand. However, sadly most of us who dream to attend these, will not. Style.com showcased their favourite atmosphere shots from the Spring 2013 collections – and they do not disappoint! These images ignite something within me, the drive to achieve my dreams. Each image is artistic yet projects the magical and electric atmosphere that surely must swirl around at every show. I envy those who are able to even stand to watch these shows! The day that I am able to do this, will be the best day of my life for sure! To even receive an invitation would be a magical moment!

I am in a bit of a reflecting mood today! Next year I will be finishing university (thank god!) It feels like I have been studying forever. I started study when I finished school and then took a year off and came back again.. so I feel like the last 4 years have just been studying!! Hopefully it will all be worth it though! :) My fashion dreams have been changing massively since going back to uni.. at first I solely wanted to be a stylist and that was all… now, because I am studying PR.. I’m thinking fashion PR! but I’d also love to be able to own my own retail store! selling fashion and homewares but regardless of what avenue I might go down.. I know that I will work as hard as I can to achieve it!

What are your fashion dreams?
