Denim. It’s a bit of a universal fashion staple but when styled well, can look amazing! Denim has been on my mind for a while now.. (I have been obsessing over finding the perfect tie up vest) but since my parents sent me the picture below of a vintage denim levi’s covered chair, denim has risen up the ranks on my ‘must buy very soon’ list!

I’m thinking ahead. MBFWA isn’t too far away and I need to get some sort of clothing ideas established so I don’t do what i normally do and bring the contents of my wardrobe over from Adelaide!! haha

Denim is something I really want to rock this year, items like denim shirts, vests and jackets but in a very cool and stylish way! Inspiration above like the denim vest in pics 2 and 4 and the layering of the denim shirt in pic 3… hot in my mind!

My mind is totally on winter clothing at the moment… totally weird considering Thursday it will be a hot as 41 degrees here! (105.8 degrees fahrenheit!) which isn’t our hottest day this summer… during the holiday break we reached a disgustingly hot 45! (113 degrees) Not the nicest when you are working but I should be lovin the summer weather while it lasts!! :)

Smille has the ability to effortlessly style her outfits with a mixture of designer pieces, high street fashion and vintage finds. Her laid-back, ‘model off duty’ style is gorgeous and truly inspirational.

It is clear that the foundation of an amazing outfit is the simple, classic pieces; essentials like boyfriend jeans, plain tees, chunky knits, coats, layering and gorgeous accessories!

“I love mixing bold prints and colours and playing with contrasts; the contrast is what makes the outfit interesting. Also, I’m all for layering, but in a feminine sort of way. Just because you don’t show that much skin doesn’t mean that it’s not sexy. For me that’s way more confident.”
