Sass & Bide’s latest offering to us Sass-and-Bide-obsessed is starting to roll into stores now.

The new collection titled, Future of Now was shown at the recent L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and it is a beaut looking at the lookbook shots.

Favourite pieces will have to be the Cast in Glory alpaca and leather vest – gorg! (which has already available in stores now), the embellished trimmed jacket, the quilted leather jacket and that camel orange and black printed everything!

We’ve hit the home stretch! After a short/long week (short because of Easter Monday, long because of… well work) It is finally Friday night! Flights are booked, seats are reserved and outfits are.. not.. sorted (must get to that!) Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia is upon us! Only 3 sleeps!

To really inspire you all, I thought I’d post a little inspirational/street style/ pretty images to get your hearts a flutter! Tomorrow my prep for MBFWA continues! I have been thinking it’s about time I go back to the hairdresser but unfortunately for me, her daughter is getting married and she is taking 2 weeks off! In runs my gorgeous best friend from high school who has nearly completed her apprenticeship.. winning! Now you all may remember that I have a ‘Lara Bingle’ styled hair do – just a brunette style ;) (Think Christine Centenera meets Lara Bingle!) It’s time to crank that up a notch and really go for the blunt cut! Inspo piccies are below… we are going for a Lara Bingle/ Jessica Stein – Tuula Vintage style but just over the shoulders (see Lara’s second image)

Happy 1st Birthday Wilddarts!

This week marked the first anniversary of Wilddarts! How the last year as flown by!

I would like to thank everyone who reads Wilddarts whether you read us regularly or on the occasion; those who support us and those who have had some dealings with us over the last year.

VERA WANG – FALL 2013 COLLECTION

Vera Wang described her Fall 2013 collection as an exploration of classic dressmaking in sculptural silhouettes. The show opened with a structured vest, a jacket with puffed sleeves and layers of texture and simplicity. I enjoyed the texture of the black looks and those shoes – gorgeous!

The black fox fur wrap fastened with a brown belt and coupled with a long vest was nice. Favourite looks being the jewelled t-shirt dresses, vests and v-necked dresses towards the end of the collection.

I loved the colour palette of this collection; the nudes, blacks and warm purple and gold hues were gorgeous. Again, love a plum lip! A very pretty show!

PROENZA SCHOULER – FALL 2013 COLLECTION

For their Fall 2013 collection Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez chose a colour palette of mostly black, white with touches of mint and peach. ”This season is a riff on classicism, so it’s a bit of a more feminine approach for them” stated the pairs makeup artist Diane Kendal. The collection was created with stunning fabrics; elaborate, refined and elegant. As stated by style.com, ‘one laser-cut material with what looked like hundreds of heat-fused embroideries was created via a process called ultrasonic welding’. Favourite looks being the embroidered dresses in long vertical chain links, the various clean cut coats and the gorgeous laser cut colour blocked tops and pencil skirts. I also really loved the accessories, the cut out heels and the printed bags – superb!

Hernandez stated backstage, “It was all just soft, that’s the one word we were thinking about. Softness of form, softness of colour, softness of texture.” The pairs hairstylist, Paul Hanlon explained the overall look, ”They’re architectural couture clothes for Fall, but there’s a reality to them, so we don’t want the hair to look too groomed.”

What a wonderful collection! I enjoyed every part!

3.1 PHILLIP LIM – FALL 2013 COLLECTION

So good that it needed its own individual post!

This season Lim was inspired by bikers, or rather girlfriends of bikers and their style. Leather, patch-covered denim, moto jackets, vests, sweaters.. all further enhanced this theme. His pre-fall collection, that I also fell madly in love with, set the tone with this collection. Stand out pieces were the pullovers, jewel coloured trench coats, leather biker vests with mo-hair jumpers, textured coats with black edging with slouchy leather pants, detailed sweatshirts with side zips and patchwork fur. This collection is very wearable and can be incorporated into any woman’s wardrobe. I also really liked the accessories in this collection, the earrings, the sunglasses – wow! So different and very cool! I was also very interested by the fury clutch bag!

Backstage, Francelle Daly of NARS described the makeup as ‘uptown sophisticated; She’s a girl with an edge though, she has a rock n roll boyfriend’ The lip was my favourite and complimented the collection brilliantly – Lining and filling the lips with NARS Lip Liner Pencil in Kenya and layered with its eye liner in Mambo – a very sophisticated and expensive look.
