MBFWA – CHRISTOPHER ESBER S/S 14

After his outstanding show at last years MBFWA and his slew of awards and nominations in the last 12 months, Christopher Esber‘s Spring Summer 2014 show was one of the most anticipated shows of the week. Set in an offsite warehouse in Marickville, complete with scaffolding and mirrored installations, Esber showcased wonderfully tailored garments (which he is known for).

Favourite pieces include the one sleeved t-shirt, liquid silver jacket, split pleated pencil skirt, grey tartan vest and grey/white tunic. Very minimalistic – my aesthetic!

We will definitely see great things to come from Esber.

MBFWA – Bec & Bridge Resort 2014

‘She glides into view, as if cutting through water, sleek, shimmering, statuesque…’

This season, Bec & Bridge take the plunge back to the 1990′s (when I was born!) featuring minimalist dress shapes, high-fronted, bias-cut mixed with form-fitting styles with longer lines. The focus of the collection was on the body, complimented by racer-back tops and dresses, panelled skirts and drawstring waistlines.

The fabric was light and airy providing a fluid silhouette as it glided down the gorgeous runway, equipped with its own installation of light above – almost like the backbone of the collection. I enjoyed the pearl like sheen and texture to the fabric, almost looking like fish scales! The lightweight knits were a favourite of mine, also were the dresses with in-built bras for a sense of effortless layering – even appearing on Natalie Cantell snapped up by international street style photographer for Style.com, Tommy Ton.

Backstage, ghd hair director, Alan White put the final touches to this glorious collection with an origami-inspired knot at the back of the head, with a kiss of pearl essence on the ends. White described this as ‘sexy, youthful and sophisticated, but not at all uptight – this hairstyle is easily relatable.’  During the week there were replays of backstage footage scattered across The Hub at Carriageworks – I was mesmarised by this hair! MBFWA – Camilla and Marc S/S 14

First show of this season, Camilla and Marc was out to impress for their 10 year anniversary show titled Concentric. This season, inspired by the Russian Matryoshka doll, showcased signature styles and silhouettes updated from a more modern perspective. The collection took inspiration not from the traditional sense of the doll, aka Alice McCall S/S13 but from a more down to earth nature; looking at symmetry and layering.

Favourite looks being the lace slip and long sleeved top, jewellery by Ryan Storer, ruffled dresses with peak-a-boo white (very Givenchy Pre-Fall) those printed jackets and orange print dress.. love.

Just a quick post from last weekend! Attended my 4th Stereosonic Adelaide! One of my favourite music festivals in Aus! Weather was actually really nice.. quite a mild day (compared to other years where it was 40 degrees!) We had a stormy as Friday here in Adel, so I think we were all nervous for the weather for Sat but it pulled through with the goods! My bf got burnt as! despite us applying sunscreen many times (I think its just his skin! I never ever get burnt!!)

Major lazer was my favourite act for the day! For the majority of the day our whole group of friends were stationed (as you might say!) at the front right of the main stage :) Some of our friends got so trashed that they only remember Major Lazer haha

Was a great day as usual! bring on Future Music in March :)

Piccies above – 1. Main stage, for most of the day we were all basically right under the ‘C’ in Stereosonic //  2. My boyfriend and I main stage, I wore a cute Eleven Raindrops Zara bodysuit in black, Ksubi denim shorts and HelloParry gold claw bracelet (which you unfortunately can’t see!) Boyfriend is wearing Nana Judy denim shorts and the singlet I’ll have to get back to you on! // 3. One of my besties Ryan in a bunny mask! // 4. Selfie of us whilst we eat!

Heres some youtube vids (ones from Brisbane! but you get the idea! lol)

We are getting a massive response for our giveaway with HelloParry! If you have already entered or wish to, click here to see how you can enhance your chances of winning! :D

I am so obsessed with this watery wonderland shoot in the newest issue of Harpers Bazaar Australia! Sheer panelled gowns and embellished swimsuits glisten in the crystal blue seas of the Maldives! How jealous we all are of the gorgeous (and talented!) team who get to visit these amazing locations to shoot these beautiful clothes!

What a lovely shoot!
