I couldn’t sleep last night. Thoughts rushing through my mind constantly. Naturally, I just whipped out my ipad and was searching around on Lyst, WordPress and countless other sources!
I came across a post by Honeyisle* which previewed some images from another blog, BEAUTY IS BORING. I was instantly draw to the modern, airy, light images and decided to check it out.
Seriously mesmerised! Instant inspiration for my next editorial shoot (which will take place after my long awaited holiday!) The ideas are a flowing!!!
BEAUTY IS BORING is a photo diary by makeup artist Robin Black. Her work has appeared in countless influential magazines such as Allure, Elle and Vogue, and NYFW.
Her images look like they have been taken with a instant camera (maybe the new Fuji Instant camera – I just recently bought!) I love them.. What do you think?

We have been carefully watching and LOVING what has come out of Paris during the Fall 2012-2013 Houte Couture Shows in particular Dior, Elie Saab, Giambattista Valli, Givenchy and Valentino!
So here is our little summary of our favourite collections and their beauty looks :)
CHRISTIAN DIOR
Raf Simons first couture collection for Dior – amaze! We saw many snippets on instagram of the series of rooms filled with different flowers, totally beautiful! You can almost smell them through the screen ;)
Love the abundance of peplums, embrodiary and embellishments, sheer fabrics (totally in love!) cigarette pants, pastels and the AMAZING jewellery (seriously must get my hands on the neck pieces!)

Very much In love with the accessories of this collection, my favourites being the pearl chocker and cuff! Love the strong red/orange lip and the subtle cat eyes :)
ELIE SAAB
One of my favourite designers is Elie Saab. He consistently delivers lovely collections, and this is no exception! As you all would know, my dream wedding dress is an Elie Saab one :)
For his fall 2012/2013 couture show looked light and pretty. Saab is known for his intricate beading, sequins and crystals and this collection showed this off impeccably (like always!) Delicate fabrics like chantilly lace, silk, gold leaf details were stunning.
We loved the black looks in particular but also fell in love with the peach number below and a few of the mocca designs.

Make up was simple as usual, peachy lip, sunkissed skin and a rosey cheek.
As you will be aware we also love braids here at Wilddarts.. so of course we loved the hair!
GIAMBATTISTA VALLI
There have been mixed reviews of this collection. Here at Wilddarts we think that the collection is beautiful for a editorial sense! For consumers and celebrities it will probably have to be altered but I think the foundations are there for some beautiful looks!
Here are our favourites:
(images: Style.com)
Makeup was very natural with a silver shimmer around the eyes – very fairy-esque! The face was covered with a fishnet type of mask and the hair was slicked back.
GIVENCHY
Beautiful setting for the lookbook very natural and almost fantasy looking!
Looking through this lookbook I died when seeing all the backs of the looks… definately the shining part of the collection! Loved the use of fur, embroideries, embellishments and colour!
Definitely one of my favourites for the season :)

VALENTINO
Very modern, love the sheer cut outs and the use of navy, the rich materials and colours used, florals and patterns
Love the nineteenth century romantic vibe
Stunning collection! Again, a favourite at wilddarts by far!
