Heath Ledger Commemorative T-shirt – $105 AUD

Designed by his sister, Elana Rosa, featuring a gorgeous photograph by New York photographer, Ben Watts; Health Ledger‘s life has now been officially commemorated in this high quality, limited edition cotton t-shirt; the only product to be approved by the trustees of his estate and his family.

Costing $105 AUD, the unisex t-shirt’s proceeds from all sales will benefit:

Channel 7 Australia Telethon Trust, The Australian’s In Film Organisation and The Heath Ledger Scholarship.

Ledger was a truly gifted Australian actor who’s life was tragically cut short five years ago as the result of a drug overdose.

I for one LOVE watching the Dark Knight – seriously one of the most moving and chilling movies he has ever stared in, and who could forget 10 Things I Hate About You ?!

Wilddarts would like to send our thoughts and hopes out to the Missoni family and fashion house for the safe return of Vittorio Missoni, his wife and friends.

According to many reports, it has been said that Vittorio, who went missing on Friday had been kidnapped; however according to Venezuelan authorities this is not the case.

Whatever the case may be, we are hoping for a safe return to all involved.

Please keep the Missoni family and label in your thoughts

Its been a while I know.. I am very sorry! I promise to keep updating as much as I can in the next few days to get you all up to speed with whats going down with us at Wilddarts! Especially since it was Mel’s 22nd birthday last Wednesday!

We are now on LYST!

Some of you might have seen or heard that the first look at the new Yves Saint Laurent branding has been revealed!

Jokes.. thats not it..! hehe!

Making headlines all around the world last month, Hedi Slimane, the new creative director of YSL, announced that he will be changing the name of the iconic brand to Saint Laurent Paris.

To add even more confusion to the mix, the new branding will only be in effect for Ready-To-Wear collections! The old Yves Saint Laurent will still be in place for beauty and the rest of the fashion house. Confusing? yeah a bit!

As I work in advertising, marketing and branding, and am completing my public relations degree.. this is so baffling! The first real rule in branding is that consistency is key!

My Dad is also in advertising and we have had talks about this situation and in his professional opinion (he’s been in the industry for 30 odd years) this is a pretty bold move. If you have to change your branding it has to be for a reason..! The fact that they are still keeping certain areas different is confusing to consumers, not to mention a bit disrespectful to the houses long history!

YSL’s Facebook page has erupted in protest towards the new branding. Individuals calling it “awful”, “cheap”,”off putting” and “unoriginal” whilst a small percentage calling it “the future”

CHRISTINE CENTENERA joins EDWINA MCCANN at VOGUE AUS!

My fav girl crush and inspiration for style has moved to Vogue in a reshuffling of roles by ex Harpers Bazaar Editor and new Editor in chief at Vogue, Edwina McCann. 

OMFG! Totally excited! but sad for Harpers Bazaar :(

As stated previously, Harpers Bazaar has really grown on me since McCann became editor and (obviously) I love Centenera and her style, so it will be very very interesting to see how the two develop Vogue and its direction. Similarly, It will be extremely interesting to see who fills Centenera’s shoes at Harpers and the creative direction they will lead the magazine with!

Definitely will pick up the first issue of both magazines!
